Fun Weekend!
Even though I didn't see Kelly AT ALL this past weekend (sadly), it was still a great weekend!

Friday: After work, I went to Kinko's to make some copies for EnigmaCon the next day, and while I was there, Ken called me up and invited me over, so after Kinko's I went straight to Ken's place. We played some "Halo 2" (which I SUCKED at...8 months of not playing games I guess) and "Test Drive: Eve of Destruction" on his Xbox. We then practiced our song for that night, "Guy Love," from the Scrubs musical episode. ;) We then headed over to Corbin where I met up with my friends [info]ladybrick, [info]sweet_insurgent, [info]markbt73 and so on. The theme was showtunes, so I sang "Hakuna Matada", "The Time Warp" and "Guy Love". It was a really fun night with good food, but I left a bit early because I had to get up early the next day for EnigmaCon.

Saturday: Got up early and headed over to UCLA to meet other SoCal Browncoats like [info]xtheavatarx, Lynn, [info]betnoir, Marsia, Tammy, Wendy, and many more. The con was small (there were only a few tables and some games set up), and overall it got about 100 people, but we had fun hanging out regardless. I also ran two sessions on the Serenity RPG, one on how to play and one on how to be a GM. These both included little mini-campaigns I wrote up -- one of which involved smuggling beagles, the other stealing bobblehead dolls -- so folks could see the game in action. The first session had about 12 people, the second session had about 10, so it was success in my book. I left the con at about 8-ish and went home to watch "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" on DVD, which was fantastic. I laughed my ass off. [info]markbt73 was right when he said it was the funniest movie he'd seen in 10 years. I had to watch it again the next day to pick up stuff I missed by laughing so hard. :)

Sunday: Kristen wanted Kelly all to herself today (can't blame her really, since Kelly is made of awesome), so I basically stayed home all day and watched movies after exercising to DDR. I got an AV cable on Friday that allowed me to connect my Archos to the TV, and it looks GREAT. It also has a little remote too, so I spent the day watching "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang" again, as well as "Equilbrium" (which I found quite boring), and both "Spiderman" movies. I then watched "The Dresden Files" (which I enjoyed a lot, moreso than the last episode) and "Battlestar Galactica" (which was just awesome). I then watched some "Dr. Who" on my Archos on the TV.

Overall: A pretty decent weekend despite not seeing Kelly at all, which kinda sucked. I can deal though, since I see her today, Wednesday, and all next weekend, so I can't really complain. Eventually I'll see her every day, so I can be patient. I hope y'all had a very shiny weekend and a wonderful week ahead. :)
